We take on 10 apprentices a year over our three trades, with an ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award to encourage the candidates to strive for the highest standards.
We do this to bring young blood into an ageing industry, and this type of forward thinking allows the company to be proactive and adapt with the ever changing needs of the construction industry.
Understanding that the future is in those coming through the industry, has lead MJ Stevens to invest heavily in apprentices. We offer a comprehensive apprenticeship scheme allowing our apprentices to not only learn a trade but understand the construction industry in a great depth as well as them building on their knowledge of a day release at college. We have teamed up with PGL Training to be able to achieve this level of understanding and industry ‘know-how’.
We can now offer apprenticeships to those over the age of 24, unlike most other house builders or contractors. As long as you haven’t received any government funded training for senior eduction we can take you on. There is sometimes a training ‘contribution’ to pay depending on the circumstances.
If you would like to enquire about an apprenticeship with ourselves, fill out your details on the ‘contact us’ page of the website.
