MJS carpentry have been successful in winning the contract for Barratt Exeter at the new site at Coat Grove, Martock in Somerset. This is the latest site for the company in Somerset, an area which we have picked up a number of sites for many clients in the recent months. We have always has a strong presence in the area and we are keen to continue this growth curve. 

Coat Grove is a development of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes located on Coat Road in between Martock and Coat, coming soon. The development is less than 1 mile from both Martock and Coat, giving you access to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Yeovil is less than 20 minutes away, with Quedam Shopping Centre offering a selection of high street and independent stores.

The start of this month has seen an influx of new work orders, one being in Bishops Lydeard for David Wilson Homes SW (Bristol) This new contract is for our drylining, painting and wall tiling services. The site comprises of 173 high spec 2,3 and 4 bedroom houses.

Situated on the outskirts of Taunton town centre and within easy reach of the M5. 

Closeby are 2 local pubs, an award winning restaurant, a local primary school, local shop and a pharmacy, all set within a beautiful location at the foot of the Quantock Hills.

Moorland Gate provides long lines of work for us across 3 trades, sure to be a popular and successful partnership.

This month has seen a flood of new orders, one being for Shepperton Homes in Yeovil, Somerset. This site is ideally situated as we have a number of projects down the road from this one. We will be undertaking the drylining and painting on this site of new homes. We are very much looking forward to working with new customer Shepperton Homes.

A bumper month of new sites started with a multi trade package for Linden Homes in Liskeard, here we will be undertaking the carpentry, drylining, painting and tiling. It is great to see a long standing customer provide us with such a vast array of trades on this fast pace new development for them. Linde say ‘ Cornwall has been a popular spot for summer holidaymakers for many years, but there’s plenty of fun to be had in the county all year round; enjoy the eye-catching display of bluebells in Enys Garden during spring, discover the exotic outdoor jungle and shelter from autumn showers beneath the giant rhubarb in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, or take a tour of Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm and quench your thirst on a hot summer’s day. ‘

Last week we won the drylining, painting and tiling contract for the second phase of Persimmon Homes’ development in Paignton, Devon. Having completed the first phase some time ago it was pleasing for us that Persimmon returned to who they know when it came to awarding the second phase contract. Persimmon sales team said ‘ Our new phase at Coverdale development offers a range of two, three and four bedroom homes in the thriving seaside resort of Paignton, South Devon. With its pretty harbour, sandy beaches and quality attractions, Paignton is a sought-after location on the English Riviera and known as one of the jewels of the South West.’

To end this month we have received the paperwork for the second phase of Persimmon Homes’ site in Ivybridge. We have been continually working on various sites in the town for over 3 years now and this looks set to continue. We will be carrying out the drylining, painting and ceramic tiling. It is great to see a long standing customer continues to believe in the company and the service we can offer across so many trades.

What a start to the month! This morning we have been awarded the drylining contract for Bloor Homes in Pinhoe, Exeter. This site is right on our doorstep and ideally located for our Exeter labour, some who have contracted to us for over 35 years. The last site we carried out drylining works for Bloor Homes was in Totness, Baltic Wharf development which consisted of very difficult and technically challenging properties.

Just 4 miles from the centre of Exeter, in a popular and historic village, this collection of new houses in Pinhoe is part of a major community improvement project, which includes new shops, business premises, a community centre, skatepark and play areas. And because it’s by Bloor Homes, you can be sure that each home features the high specification, attention to detail and traditional skilled craftsmanship that a Bloor Homes is known for.

Being keen motorsport enthusiasts we love our racing and cars. Having used Raceworld for a number of years to entertain our clients and staff we couldn’t say no when the opportunity arose to have our livery on the kart. We will be using this to further the Group brand awareness and continue to use it to enjoy time with our client base.

This year MJS Group are sponsoring Exeter Chiefs players Jordon Poole alongside testimonial and Chiefs legend Phil Dollman. It is the first time we have done player sponsorship and we hope it grows the recognition of the brand further, with players of Phil and Jordon’s quality. We will continue to work closely with Phil at Sidmouth RFC, where he holds the head coach position who are also sponsoring him this year and link up with Jordon at events throughout the season.

Our sponsorship consists of programme advert, player branding and match day announcements. We are thrilled to continue our link with the Chiefs and even more so now with the two star players.
